
Chaukori is a tiny hill station in the Pithoragarh district set in the Kumaon Division of Uttarakhand, India, and is among the lofty peaks of the western Himalayan Range. The name Chaukori means that the place is a small hamlet in the shape of a bowl enveloped in the heart of the Himalayas. If you love to spend your time in some hilly areas away from the hustle and bustle of urban society but also hate those overcrowded hill stations, then this is the place for you. Chaukori can be widely recognized as a peaceful hill station and a recommended destination for couples, family and children, foreigners as well as solo. Chaukori is a dreamy sight situated at the height of 2010 meter and 173 km from Nainital, surrounded by the soaring Himalayan peaks with unbound views of the Nanda Devi and Panchchuli peaks and dense forests. Chaukori is one of only a few locations in Kumaon where tea gardens are found. Berinag, another small hill station is located 10 km from Chaukori. The snowy peaks remind the influence of nature and its bountiful abundance over and over again.

It is known as one of the most impressive Himalayan treks. One can opt for easy trek or it would be more appropriate to say that one can go for nature walks and admire the serene beauty that the place offers.
