Back in 2019, I and Mitul came together to found Hire A Camp with the dream of changing the way of camping experience in India. It was more of a vision that we imagined of helping people to book campsites quickly and easily at their favorite location.
Honestly, it was scary to tap into this huge but unorganized Indian camping market with no prior business experience in this sector. Today, as Hire A Camp launches its new website, I am short of words to express my excitement and gratitude to all the people without whom the dream would never transform into reality.
Our Vision
The vision of offering people the opportunity to explore the outdoors at its best gave birth to Hire A Camp. With rapidly growing urbanization, people are escaping to nature to seek solace. Especially, after being restricted to the four walls of their homes during the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, people are curious to explore the outdoors more than ever.
Hire A Camp aims to fulfill people's desire for a world where they can live or work from anywhere while connecting with nature and making magical memories.
New Logo
The new logo of Hire A Camp is also a reflection of our vision and the campers’ wishes. Combining two elements, the logo’s upper part signifies the dome of a tent whereas the bottom is the sign of infinity. Thus, the logo stands for the infinite amazing memories you create at a campsite.
The Team
The camping sector in India is huge and full of possibilities but lacks proper organization. Setting up a successful business in this sector requires a lot of fieldwork, and technological implementations to bring the camp hosts and campers on one platform.
Truly, all of it was completely impossible without the Hire A Camp team members each of whom contributed to the building of the vision.
I would like to thank Sofiya, our first permanent recruit, who kept faith in us and played a major role in taking Hire A Camp to its present position. After Sofiya, the team kept expanding with several other members like Prashant, Prerna, Ankana, Saisha, etc. joining eventually.

We are extremely thankful that at an event of Startup Uttarakhand, we got to meet Mr. Hari Balasubramanian, our first investor, who believed in our vision and gave wings to our dreams.
